Ruby had thought the object was a brooch for quite a while. Kurt had risked his life to get it to her, so she’d always known it was important.

So why had she avoided the invitation it contained for nearly three years ? It was because Patrick had died on their journey through China and Korea, one of her precious wunderkinds. Charlotte had nearly died and Ruby had a few new scars to add to her collection.

Once again we’ll travel the path less travelled, as Ruby collects her friends together and journeys to Kenya.
